OK, I have a long-bed 3500, with rear wheel drive. Yes, it is 4 wheel drive, but not 6. So is it a 4x2, a 6x4 or what. One thing we know for sure, its not a 4x4.
In reality it is a 4x2. When it is refering to the type of drive the number of wheels doesn't matter, it is the number of wheel locations. A normal 10 wheeler is a 6x4, an all wheel drive three axle is a 6x6. I have a couple of 8x6's at work.
