Found several YouTubes, but didn't find a complete wood setup, several small OD brass plungers and aluminum, that is trick. Got some Hickory left over and some sugar maple that is about 20 years dried out and rings like a darn bell.

Gary! That Hickory for the dowel and maple for the palm ball and body, all polished out with an oil finish would make a Mountain Man "WWaaaggghhhhh" in his sleep:-laf! GregH

Now I remember!!!!! The dowel can fit loosely! A gasket is made from waxed string!!!!!!!!!!! The one I saw was made that-a-way! GregH
