Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) OK, What's the letest hot fix for the fuel solenoid boot???

Mine has developed a crack and probably should be replaced. Does anyone offer a replacement or am I going to have to "whip sumpthin up"? Seems I remember someone mentioning someplace that sells them for 10-20 bills.

Actually I had started working on this a while back and got distracted and dropped the ball. Now mine is going so I need to s##t or get off the pot. If there is a good source I may not bother to persue it further. Hey! Maybe cool colors would be an added benifit.

Larry, while you're at it finding a source for boots how about some overflow valve springs to go along with them?

Larry a bike tube actually works just ask me and Kalaehina. He told me about doing it, and I did it going into the job blind but finished it with a piece of tube and 2 zip ties. It can be done (of course mine was a half-to situation on a Friday night)

If I'm not mistaken, Pumper Dude found a vendor around New Orleans that sells the boot as a replacement.

Local Cummins shop sold one to me for about $28 last summer, as I remember.

Before someone asks,the part # is 3925171 from Cummins.

I received a Cummins flier last summer saying the boot price was reduced permanently to $19. 95, I bought one but the part number was different than Blackcloud's. I have since given the number to others who said it didn't work, maybe this is a good one.
