Exhaust question (drone elimination)

Okay, Lived thru winter again. Now, I guess I'm a sick puppy. Crawled under the truck to change oil and found a spit load of salt and sand. "HONEY! Bring me a squirt bottle of water, and a few rags"! Spent most of the PM after the oil change and lube, cleaning the underside of the truck, wiping down the frame, and anything else in reach. Is it just me or does anyone else who can't go thru a car wash do this? :-laf Wife thinks I'm nut's Heck I even armor-all the fuel tank! Any one else this "stupid" Oo. ?

Sounds ok to me. I don't even like to drive mine if there's salt on the roads. I never thought about armor-all on the tank, good idea.

Come out here and you can do both of mine... I'll even supply anything you need!

Sounds normal to me. What is wrong with cleaning the underside. Aren't we protecting our assets? Tell her this is an asset and part of your portfolio. :-{}

well with my ram i just powerwash it every now and then just to keep it upkept underneath. my dakota show truck on the other hand i wax the whole frame, lol. of course its a show truck so it doesnt see bad weather. sunny days and clean/dry streets only.

I'll tell you this... ... ..... overboard or not, Tom has ONE NICE TRUCK!:D

I think it's almost as fast as that red truck from Tennessee, too!;)

"Lived thru winter again"???? Huh? Where the heck do you live that early March is "spring"?? Tuesdays forcast high is 12, with a low of 2!:-laf :-laf

Seriously, my truck may not see a serious clean until it is consistently in the mid 60's, usually early June.

If you live around here where the roads are usually white with salt instead of snow, cleaning the frame means whacking it with a sledge hammer a few times to knock the rust off it.

I spend more water cleaning the bottom of the truck in the winter then the top. Only try to drive the newer one to preserve the trusty ol 12 valve a little longer
