Hey guys,

I finally did it, ordered me a GV unit for 'Ol Blue. We are also working on being the dealer for this area. First I want to try one out myself. We don't like to sell something we wouldn't use ourselves. Thanks to all those who replied to me posting earlier. It will be about 2 weeks before we get the unit. I can hardly wait. I am looking forward to dropping the rpm's on my way to work. Now she turns about 2000-2100 all the way to work running on the interstae @ 75 mph.

thanks
Don

If I had it to do over, I'd take the GV with a 727 over the 518 I installed. The only complaint I have about the GV controller is that it does not have adjustable shift points. It's 50 mph on mine and kicks back out at about 5 mph.

Guys,

Guess what arrived today?? Yep the Gv unit is here. Did not expect it so soon, so may not get it installed this weekend. It has to be installed and then measured for drive shafts. Looks like a really nice unit. For the early trucks it is a remote mount. It does not mount to the transmission. The unit mounts to the cross member that currently supports the carrier bearing.

later
Don
