My wife was just watching an old movie that stared Ronald Reagon, Eddie Albert, and Wayne Morris. The movie was called An Angel from Texas.

Anyway, it occurred to to me that the 3 actors had another great impact on the US besides acting. The movie was made in 1940. Wayne Morris went on to be a naval ace fighter pilot (shot down 7 jap planes, helped sink 5 ships, 4 dfc's, 2 air medals, etc), Eddie Albert got the bronze or silver star for saving a bunch of marines on I think it was either tarawa or saipan, and Reagan went on to be president of the United States.

Wow

Big difference in the actors of old, and today.

And I thought this was going to be about some of us on this forum. :-laf

Didnt know that about Gene Wilder. Huh.
But the point of my post was that, here in this movie, were 3 top actors starring in the same movie who's war (and presidential) exploits (only a year or 2 later) make them true American heroes in the true sense of the word. Not just actors or men who went to war. (Most people in the military are not actually heroes).
