DD2's and EZ

Does anyone know if a smarty will remedy the buck that I have with dd2s and an EZ. Does not buck with EZ unhooked.

Thanks

I ran DD2's and EZ in my '99 for six years and no problem. I did encounter slightly poorer fuel economy. Sent injectors into DD. Two were below standards. DD replaced two and balanced other four to match. Turnaround time: one week. great service. Lifetime warranty with DD. I sold them to a member at a great price. I think the bucking is EZ related. Contact Edge. Good people.

I have sent first a ddufm back to dd and with the replacement still bucked. then traded it back in for a ddfm and still have buck. I have bought a fass and am going to try it even though I have ample fp. DD thought it may be a fuel delivery problem. Do not have a noticible buck unless I am towing. DD thought it was in the stock fuel curve and when it is multiplied by the box it made a difference but at stock fueling it was not an issue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Oh, I have a 95 gph FASS full meal deal, DD2s, Scotty2, EZ, Rips 4", and a trany upgrade

The FASS may be the difference. Sticks came frirst, EZ next, then the 4", that lead to trany issues :-laf some place along that, the Fuel pressure gauge didn't recover after a FF change, 8 at cruise <5 at WOT. That lead to the FASS system. Mo better now! Oo.

When I get my 95 gph fass on I will post results.

I do not notice bucking unless I am towing. DD assured me it was not a DD issue?><????????????

I am thinking if the fass does not take care of it I will try a smarty because from what I have read on here it is smother than the EZ set up.

Nope, APPS does not buck.

I can tell you one thing though. I've seen and tested a few original ECM softwares that would do the bucking thing. A simple thing to do would be to have the ECM updated with a new software version. Maybe... .

If it is a software issue, would the Smarty software be smooth?

Thanks

Is this the bucking like you get with bigger injectors and lug the engine? My Mach II's have done it since day one. My fix? Dont lug the engine.....

I hear that its the ECM/Pump uses a certian amt of fuel for lower RPM. Well with the bigger/more efficent sticks, you get more fuel per "Pop". SO based on RPM..... the computer gets more than what it wanted, and cut back... . then its not enough and hits again... ... . then cuts back... ... . and so on... . is its a fair assumption?

I hapens at all RPM's. But is sounds like this is what is going on though.
