2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Old-new tires

I just picked up four 7. 50 R16 LT Uniroyal tires old but never used. Any of you tire guys know how that size compares to todays tires, I would like to put them on my 98 Ram if they will fit OK.

How old? Tires have a shelf life if they are more than 7 to 10yrs I wouldnt trust them.
