Old or new motor mounts?

In a 6BT, are the new "donut" style motor mounts better at damping vibrations than the old Gen-1 mounts?

They are supposed to be smoother than the 1st gen mounts. I used the 1st gen mounts because they came with a bunch of parts I traded for and they were easy to adapt for my truck. I am happy with them.
