Anybody know what UPS does with their old delivery trucks?

Seems to me that I heard that they had Cummins (Continental) engines, in them.

I don't believe that I've ever seen a "recycled" one on the road.

Just curious.

Thanks.

Somebody told me that they got destroyed when they are wore out so the compitition can't buy them up to do business against them with their old trucks.

I have a 1995 6BT from a DRW UPS delivery van in my conversion. The van my engine came out of was burned so the insurance company probably sold it to the salvage yard. The guy I got it from said it definitely was a UPS truck because he saw it before the engine was pulled, but I never personally saw the truck. I checked the engine serial number on Cummins QuickServe and it was for a Ford chassis.
