Feels so good when....

I was chatting with a guy this weekend. He indicated that his Powerstroke regularly gets 28mpg (unloaded).

THe truck is an older model, 4x4.

I had a hard time believing this statement especially since he thinks Cummins MAKES the Powerstroke. (no joke, he seriously thinks Cummins makes the PS).

Man, thats real hard to believe! NEVER saw a powerstroke get that kind of mileage. We have 3 company trucks with PS engines- empty, cruise on, with a tail wind, 17MPG would be doing great! Towing a 6000 - 8000# trailer, 11-12 MPG is about the best they have ever done.

This guy sounds like an Uncle I used to have that always got better mileage than anyone in the world!:D

Oh I beleave him, I once got 99 miles per gallon and I can prove it. I was going down hill took my foot off the throttle and reset the MPG gauge, see 99 miles per gallon.

Maybe he has one of them there fuel atomizers? Or perhaps the magnets on the fuel line to seperate the diesel protons from the oxygen neutrons?

He probably bought the dent remover kit from "Ding King" too.

:D
