Omaha Steaks...........

Got a ad in the mail today from Omaha steaks trying to sell mail order meat? Is this stuff any good? Are they over priced? How much would you pay for a 24 oz. Porterhouse? I like steaks, good steaks and good meat.



Anyone order their meat from online or over the phone sight unseen?

A buddy of mine gets stuff from them occasionally as a gift from one of his customers. Personally I think its way overpriced (no. I'm not cheap!! ) for what you get, but yes it is damn tasty stuff, seafood they carry also !!

Overpriced. For the same price step to your local grocery store meat dept or butcher shop and tell them what you want and how you want it packaged (singly in freezer paper). .

Omaha ages their meat, so buy some tenderizer or marinade. Way less $$ per lb.

I guarantee the butcher will remember your name if you walk in and start talkin 24oz poterhouse's, I am guessing not too many vegetarians in their ranks.

I remember shopping at Costco growing up in Oregon and then in Anchorage as well. But down here in Louisiana all we have is Sam's. Thanks all who commented on this. I am sure they are good, but way overpriced.
