I may be in for a 05 CTD when i comes with the VGT turbo.

take a listen and tell me what you think. i say that the new 6L sounds unreal. this is the type of turbo whistle i have been looking for all of my life. will the 05 CTD VGT w/ egr sound like this straight piped?

That does sound like a jet! For some reason I've always gotta be different. I'm more impressed with the sound file of a Ford V-10 with a cat back system on it. There's also one with headers and a free flowing exhaust. It sounds pretty good!

Wow,, Talk about turbo whistle!!

That is real cool. I think that should impress both the turbo lovers and gasser guys at the same time,, the whistle you hear at luanch is just insane, but then the growl at high RPM is way to cool.

Nice, Thanks for the link.

BTW, Is that one of Mark Craigs systems?

I gotta say mine with the DD turbo gives off one heck of a pleasing whistle. It really sounds like an over the road truck now, it's awesome.

Do they have a dual kit? I know MBRP is working on one, should be out by now. Their website it crapola, best to call: http://www.mbrp.com Photo #ad

Listening to those 6. 0L exhaust clips brings one thing to mind: Dental Drill

good sounds

i don't know what all of you are running on your trucks but about a month ago i put on both a K&N aircharger (i assume an AFE would also do the same if you replace the whole intake tube to the turbo)and the banks exhaust and wow!! not only 1-2 mpg and a big power and throttle response increase but a good exhaust growl when getting on it! but not over kill. also the turbo sounds awesome! a lot like the big rigs that i drive every day. i know some of you want dual outlets or a wake up the neighborhood im 17 years old sound and to that i say more power 2 U but if you are like me (mid 30s) and want a performance & sound increase that most women (my girlfriend likes it) wont hate try what i did. best 1100 bucks i have spent in a while!!

Where did you find that!

That is just too funny!

It doesn't make sense if you don't watch the news report first. But to save some time for the dial-up folks, I'll summarize.

Newsflash: in California, Oakland I think, neighbors are in an uproar over "whistle tips". A whistle tip is a piece of metal welded into the exhaust pipe to make a whistle-type sound. People complain that they can't sleep/work/think with all that extra noise and that it should be illegal. Bubb Rubb and his sister are interviewed while having one installed and they make a strong argument for "whistle tips":-laf.

That's what the second URL is for, it's sound clips from Bubb and Sis. A HOOT.

Somebody sent it to the guy at drunkcyclist, and he'll put ANYTHING on his site.

You know you have to give ford some credit, they push the bar alittle higher with the 6. 0L. They did and do have a few teething problems, but at the potential? I have driven 6-7 6. 0L's and everyone of them impressed me. They with there 5-speed auto's are extremly quick, by far the fastest stock diesel. They will get there problems worked out, and when they do I hope they decide to re-start there V6 diesel program. The technology the 6. 0L brings to the market is imporant, it is the feature for tomarrows diesels, and probaly marks the end of diesels past. My hope is that cummins takes this as a challenge, and in the comming years raise the bar once again.

WTF?

I'm going to drive pre-common rail 5. 9's until I die of a ripe old age.

Unless I stick an 8. 3 into something--Oo.

And don't give fomoco a bunch of credit where not much is due. Most of the 6. 0 drivers in my county are hopping mad, one has already had his ENGINE replaced.

And fomoco didn't up and decide to change their engine. The EPA (our lovely government) crammed the new "standards" down their throats.

The EPA needs to work on industry a little harder and autos a little less.

Y-Knot... .

You were making a joke right?
