Morepower, I should have read your post more thoroughly. More importantly I am WRONG about SLR vs rev/km and I am rather embarrased right about now :eek:. Of course rev/km is based on the circumference of the tire, which is related to unloaded tire diameter by (pi) * (diameter). It has nothing to do with loaded radius.



Your gearing would only be off by 1/3% (as per Jerryrig) so go for it. Sorry for sending this on a wild goose chase...

Great News

This is good news. I really wanted to buy wider rims and tires for the fronts. It seems that I will still require a 2" spacer in the rear, but no big deal. Now I just have to find a couple 7. 5" wide steel rims. I found 6. 5 but am look for 7. 5's now. That way I can still keep the stock plastic center caps and liners. Thanks for all the help sort this out. It really makes you think about it before making a big purchase for 6 tires.
