Good move with the #5. I would think that a #11 in a '95 would give you less power than the stock OEM plate.
I put in a DTT valve body right after Bill K. had left BD and started his own business. That was a few years ago, and they have been improved. So I guess that I've got a new & improved one now along with a Master Upgrade kit in my rebuilt transmission (about a year ago).
The valve body is very simple to remove and replace. I had never done one before, but the instructions are first-rate and very straightforward. It's about as simple as "remove the transmission pan, unbolt the OEM valve body, watch out for a couple of things that may fall out, bolt up the new valve body, adjust the bands, bolt up the pan, refill ATF, drive. " Also remember that at any time you can call Bill K. or someone at DTT to talk over a step that might confuse you. It's really very easy. And it does tighten things up with the line pressure and shift points; not as good as a whole rebuild, but still a good improvement over stock.
