Was just pulling into rest area outside Fort Washakie Wyoming on 26/287, turned on turn signal and the truck quit. 75,000 miles. Codes are p0633 p0628 and p0336. I'm thinking lift pump. Can anyone confirm this for me? Ken Irwin 757 409-6808. 2003 3500 high output engine

P0633-SKIM KEY NOT PROGRAMMED IN PCM

P0628-LOW VOLTAGE DETECTED AT THE FUEL LIFT PUMP

P0336-CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR SIGNAL

I would clear the codes and see if any come back, as those 3 aren't really related unless you lost voltage.

Fuel pump flow

Pulled the hose off the inlet to my 2 micron fuel filter, bumped the starter and filled a soda bottle with fuel in 2 starter bumps, however when I pulled the hose off it didn't have fuel in the line. Bumped the starter a few more times and the pump is definitively sounding loud and rough.

Tried to start the truck.

Now truck is running like nothing ever happened. I'm going to change the lift pump on the side of the road. My fellow travelers are going on to Jackson to obtain a new crank position sensor from Wolf Dodge in Jackson WY. They are only open until 6 pm so they won'get there tonight before they close.

Replaced lift pump

Truck runs. Got the lower inside bolt started cross threaded!! What a day. Will resume in the AM. Thanks for your help.

We're on the road again

Pulled the lift pump back off, got the screw started straight, ran it in and out a few times, reinstalled the lift pump, replaced the rest of the truck I had to remove from the left wheel housing to get access, started the truck and we're in Colter Bay Campground 107 miles later. Ran like a it always does. Now I have a crank position sensor under my back seat. Thanks for all your help TDR. Ken Irwin
