came from the factory with a 180* thermostat. I changed it to a new 180* thermostat about 3 weeks ago. The Texas heat had me pushing 195 - 200* under load. The new 180* sets on 190* max under full load in the heat now! The truck runs about 180* except when loaded now. I am very happy with the new 180*.

to me as far as understanding in detail. It makes since, but I can't tell that the truck lost any power, so thermal loss does not amount to much power loss. It is running cooler and producing the same power and mileage is the same. Sounds good to me!
