On TSB 18-037-04 is high idle part of the reflash?

I'd like to know from people who have had this reflash if the high idle is part of the reflash affect? I supposedly had mine done Tuesday and I've read from at least one other member that his high idle then worked following the reflash. I tried mine this AM and NO high idle. I'd like confirmation from some of you before I get ignorant with my dealer as for right now I don't think they did a d----n thing!!! Miffed.

I am doing my reflash in 5 days and I told the dealer that I wanted the High Idle done as well. I don't believe its part of the TSB you had done.

I had the reflash and no high idle. If it is in the reflash maybe it has to be enabled. I also would like more info on this. Thanks, Tommie

When I made my appointment for the fuel mileage TSB I asked to have the high idle TSB installed at the same time as they are two seperate TSB #'s. I guess I see after I have the work done this monday. This is good news as I had tried to have the dealer enable the high idle feature earlier and they were not able to.



By the way OT, nice choice of hoods. It doesn't show in my sig. but I have one also.

Patrick, no high idle on my either. Different TSB. BTW, I am looking at 19. 7 mpg in the overhead for the same driving I got 17. 5 before the flash. Have not filled up yet to do the manual calc. Terry

OT,

The TSB #18-004-04 is for engines manufactured before 12-10-2003. Check the date on engine data plate.

I got lucky and my high idle does work. It may be due to the sequence things happened. My truck didn't fall within the build dates for the TSB 18-007-04 which is the one that has the instructions in it for enabling the high idle, according to the tsb they do the flash then there are some steps they have to go through using their drb tool to enable the high idle. I went to my dealer before this newest tsb came out the 18-037-04, I asked if they could enable the high idle, they went through the steps and turned it on but it would not work at that time but he said it was enabled. When this newest tsb came out I went to the dealer and they did the reflash 18-037-04 and presto the high idle works. I'm thinking maybe it has to be turned on before they do the reflash in order for it to function, just a thought.

I too had the TSB 18-037-04 update done and requested that the high idle be enabled. According to the worksheet they gave me back, the work was done and verified for proper operation. I have yet to get it to work. I have to go back in a couple of weeks for service and I will ping them about it.
