I still dont have a pic but I will try and explain how I did my tank. Underneath the bed perhaps 18 inches back from the front of the bed is a frame cross member. I went to home depot and bought 2 4 foot lengths of square tubing the stuff with the holes in it. I cut those pieces in half so I had 4 2 foot pieces. I mounted my tank lengthwise on two of those pieces of square tubing (tank mounting tabs front and rear on one piece). I then laid the other two pieces of square tubing across the top of that cross member underneath the bed. I then held up the tank with the square tubing mounted to it with the tubing on the upside. Then bolted the lengths of square tubing (above and below the cross member) together. Thereby sandwiching the crossmember between the two sets of square tubing. There were some holes already in the cross member and I just lined up one of the holes in the square tubing with one of those holes in the crossmember and ran a bolt all the way through the lower tube, the cross member and the upper tube. I did that just to make sure it wouldnt vibrate around and slide around at all. The tank runs parallel with the driveshaft just to the drivers side of it next to the inside of the frame rail. If you stil cant get the idea let me know and I will try and draw a picture and email it to you.

I had installed my tank in my current truck, but I have decided to move up to a 3rd gen, so I removed it already, and didn't shoot pics. Mounted it where someone above had mounted their compressor... just forward of the passenger side rear wheel, above the frame rail. I used two 2" aluminum square tubes as spacers on each of the two "feet" and put bolts right down through from the bed.

Also, my tank is a 5 gallon polished stainless tank. Pretty cheap too. Here's where I got it: http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?item=TA0504-10

I know the website says $115, but when I called to order, the guy told me it was only $85.

Is there any way to run it above idle ?

:-laf Push the skinny pedel down... . :-laf :-laf

If you have the high idle option, and or a broom stick.

Basicly it has a belt off of the alternator, and I have had no issues running at a higher RPM...

I believe most york compressors were on cars that had a red line well above a CTD, so I don't know why you couldn't run it at 3,000 RPM to produce more air... . If you really need that much air you might need a different option.
