Watch out, if there is a part that they can not find they will hold your entire order............

Placed order Tuesday @ 11.00am their time. Nothing, nada, no status update. Called yesterday and was assured it would go out before end of day. Checked just now, still no change in order status. Called again, discovered that they can't find one part but show three on hand.
That holds the entire order unless you have that item removed.

Not impressed.......

Told them to leave it as is for the next few hours, I would shop locally and cancel the e-trailer order if items are available in town.

Not up to the raving reviews I saw on the e-trailer web site by any stretch of the imagination. I should have been notified immediately of any issues.

Well, I found the stuff I really need now locally. Apparently "Redline" supplies most items that are not true Dexter.

One of my locals had the exact same part number springs and u-bolt kits in stock for 25% less than e-trailer. Can't find the Dexter Flex Equalizer within 300 miles of me so went with standard units with loose brass bushings and greasable bolts. No self adjust brake kits locally, but manual adjust were in town. I can adjust them myself, always did.

So called e-trailer back, dropped the above items from the order and told them to ship the remainder when all parts were available. Hated to do it, but I only have this weekend open, rest of month is booked.

Told the girl that there was a flaw in the order system, I should not have had to call two days in a row regarding an order that never progressed.

So will use them in the future, but will check locally first going forward.

They split my order, and shipped one part, then when the short got in stock a week later they shipped that one. they notified me as to what they were going to do. To bad you had a bad experience but found another out let.

I think what derailed the whole thing was the fact that they could not locate the item that showed three on hand. Had the item been out of stock in the computer system I'm sure an automatic back order process would have kicked in and split the order. I don't think that there is any provision for my particular circumstance.

If I had any slack time I would simply have waited, but I really worry that my flattened out spring is going to break in the worst possible spot if I don't change it out this weekend. Going on vacation the end of next week so the trailer needs to be right.

So I guess I would recommend the following...If you don't see any change in order status 24-30 hours after placing the order you might want to contact them.

They lost my business because they don't carry the wheel accessories I want. They don't have solid end centers, just the ones with plugs in the end (is any one dumb enough to use a grease gun on E-Z lube fittings?) The steel valve stems they sell won't work on alloy wheels. Also, no discount for buying 5 wheels at once. The gal on the phone was nice though.

I did have one order that was held pending arrival of some parts. They did keep me posted on progress, and when additional delays occurred.. then I was wanting to progress the job, so I asked they ship the parts they did have, and split so I could get the rest later and at least make progress.. they did do this.. I've always had pretty prompt updates on status too.. but I can see they like all such businesses do hose it up from time to time. Glad you could get the parts locally, and not have to pay more.. though depending on sales tax.. here at close to 9% and that adds up pretty quick.

I just ran into my first problem with eTrailer - said my Yakima racks order cannot be filled until after the end of the month. I wanted to go on Labor Day weekend, so not so good.

I have ordered quite a few times - first time an issue.
