The international language of aviation is English. I don't care if you make it Martian, there has to be a "lingua franca," a common language in each country you are in. Otherwise, operating a moving vehicle is just a video game--just a matter of time.
I was in the Pacific Fleet Navy for 6 years, Been to almost every Country that the Pacific Navy goes to, I Never had to Learn their Language, Because they always spoke English as a Second Language to do Business with the Sailors and Soldiers.
Two Months after I got out of the Navy, I was at the Pomona Auto Swap Meet in Pomona Ca. After leaving the Swapmeet, I stopped at a Local Liquors Store for a Soda, The Hispanic guy at the counter couldnt or wouldnt give Directions to the 60 Fwy in English!.
I Said to myself, "Been all over the world, And never had a problem with this sort of crap, Now Less than 150 miles inside the US Boarder, I Get some Forigner Doing Business here that Can't Speak English. Unbelievable! Sheeesh!
