Had this problem for awhile but it is getting worse. With slow acceleration and/or not hauling anything truck seems fine. Under moderate acceleration or if towing or hauling any load the engine will cut out and blow a puff of smoke out the back. Sometimes it will make the same noise under the hood and blow the smoke but engine does not lose power or stumble. Last week towing an empty tandem axle utility trailor, it did ok(?) cruising but even going up an overpass it would start stumbling.

Yesterday replaced FCA I got from GENOS, no help. No Codes, Good MPG, starts good, nothing extra in the oil or radiator.

No upgrades, sorry no extra guages. Has 110,000 miles

I think I have finally decided to take it to the dealer for troubleshooting only. I would like to get your opinion on what my expectation should be that the dealer (Conroe, TX) can find something or narrow this down to a single injector or cylinder.

Mine did the exact same thing one time when my fuel filter clogged from a bad tank of fuel. I've learned over the years to always change it first when I have driveablity problems.

I should have included that in my first post.

That was one of the first things I did. I have also tried the 2-cycle oil in the fuel tank.

Finally took it to Demontrond Dodge and asked them to do a diagnostic on it. Came back with bad #1 & #3 injectors. Have ordered injectors and tools. Already have Manuals. Will keep the TDR article close by on how to do this. The intake has to come off. Can anyone help with gasket names or part numbers I will need. Thanks for the help.

Take it to the DODGE dealer at Huntsville! They fixed my truck that 4 DODGE dealers could not fix. == GOOD LUCK ==

On my 05 didn't need any gaskets.
Only thing you will need is tools
and torque specs. make sure you
use new washers, and make sure
old washers came out with injectors.
