What I've been wondering about those cameras though is how they know that you were driving and hadn't loaned your truck to a friend for a while. It doesn't seem right that you should get a fine for something you didn't do. I wonder if it matters to them?

The cameras don't just photograph your license plate, they take the drivers photo, too. That's how they can make it stick. If it's just the plate, you'd have a halfway decent chance of getting out of it since they have to prove it was you driving. Not beyond a reasonable doubt or anything... preponderance of the evidence or something like that. Meaning it was most likely you. Of course, I think the law does require us as citizens to turn in people committing crimes, so if you say it wasn't you, you are sort of obligated to dime out who you lent your truck to. Now, if you lent it to say... 3 friends and didn't know who was driving and they would all back you up, but none would own up to being the driver, then I think the courts couldn't levy a fine because they couldn't identify the offender. Just my . 02.

Plate covers

I saw in the back of a Poplar something magzine a license plate cover that blurs the numbers to cameras unless the photo is taken staight on. I was going to get the phone number but forgot. Now I have to find it again.
