Might actually have things go my way this time! Found a '99 3500 two wheel dig rig, automatic, just over 100k. Truck is white like most all these things were. Looks to be a nice truck, gonna have to quiz them and find out if it's had a rough life or not. I know the automatics can get weak knees when the power is rolled on. The LPs can wear out and leave a huge hole in your wallet also correct? What would some things to check out when test driving or looking the rig over other than basics? If I can buy the truck it'll be just about right for me. I'd like one to last me a long time to come(which I know they will) It'll be my daily driver to and from work, then tow my Dodge Ramcharger play toy to the woods on the weekends. I ain't gonna go to BOMBing the truck because I'd only break crap
But just wondering basics to look at because I've only delt with 1st gen rigs before. Things that a trans(automatic) will do when it's on it's way out the door? RPMs it should shift at? Things to listen, look for on these newer motors, things lift pumps, injector pumps will do when they are ready to take a dump? Just perfer not to be stuck with 2-3k bill from the Dodge place for major work on the rig right after I buy it,don't know if my poor little wallet could take it :-laf Thanks guys/gals
