Care to give the reasons behind this statement?

Thanks!

There's been quite a few threads on this the past 6-7 years but it's been pretty well established trucks built in Mexico have higher quality fit-and-finish than those from St. Louis. There's been plenty of good trucks come out of the St. Louis plant, but it's just that you get better odds going with a taco truck ;)

I'm also from Central PA. FWIW, and for future reference, there is an excellent Dodge dealer, Kuntz Motors, in Mahaffey, PA. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb/bounce.gif Great prices and service. Bought our '98 12v and '06 3500 Mega there and are very satisfied. The 12v was manufactured in St. Louis and even had the little St. Louis arch sticker on the driver's side window.

Thanks Vaughn,

Yes, I have read many of those posts since asking the question.

VIN and rail-track indicate my truck is Mexican.

Feels very strange to be "happy" about that fact.

There is a great deal I do not like about today's world. I am worried about this country!

How can you tell if its a Mexican truck? My truck is on rail car # TTGX982048

Your truck came from Mexico. I know this because of where your railcar started. Below is from the other thread. Looks like our trucks will be ready for unloading on the 30th.

TTGX 985444 BERGSTROM TX 05 18 1440 L Departure AMXASB SPOKANE WA UP

TTGX 982048 BERGSTROM TX 05 18 1440 L Departure AMXASB SPOKANE WA UP

I have several accessories being added so my truck probably won't be ready until the first part of the June 4th week. Especially with two customer trucks arriving on the same day.

Not sure if it's still the case or not but the first digit in the VIN used to indicate the country of origin... 1 = US, 2= Canada and 3= Mexico.
