Well that sucks. I'd say the 2500/3500 trucks would perform different than the 1500's as their frames are completely different (heavier, much heavier), and their engines and drivetrains are heavier. That's not to say they'd perform better. I'd assume those differences would make them perform worse when crashed against vehicles of similar weight. When crashed against a smaller car I'd assume the heavier frame would buckle less and cause the interior to encroach less....though more of the impact would I assume transfer into the passenger compartment.

I'm not concerned about single vehicle crashes. Just the ones where the drivers are sleeping, on their phones or running stop lights. Those are the only ones that i have been in. Survival of the fittest means get an HD truck frame to protect against stupidity

Yes, I'm sure you've never made an error.

And saddly as I write this post Sergio and his boss,John Elkann FCA Chairman, who by the way his company EXORSpA holds 44 percent of FCA North America(Chrysler) is calling for someone to step up and merge with FCA N.V..It really disguses me that someone can come in buy a company like Chrysler and pretending to make meaning full changes to line assembly, engineering tech, revised auto, suv, truck design.Talk a big game in from of UAW's President ,and members, and then run to Italy and we find the real reason was to expand Fiat and make it profitable in the US which it is not and then dump there shares to another auto company currently trading around 7.00 dallors a share(like GM and Ford are really interested). It strike me odd that Mr. Marchionne talks of world class, class leading to employees with his time slowly running out base on his announcement of retirement who would come in and give GM,and a Ford a run for there money.Chrysler top level employees must start a push to find someone who can lead Chrysler to fame and forture, rather than prep the company for a merger. So over rated these people who they decide to run Chrysler,Jeep,Ram,Dodge.Puppets of the master John Elkann. How are U.S. Goverment allows such things is beyond me.The video of the two stooges can be seen on Bloomberg.......... Ah alias here I am ranting over such things, when I have the best made and engineered truck on the planet with class leading bed payload and class leading in 5th wheel towing.Oh well maybe Sergio is alright after all....Thanks all who built my truck, well it may be Mexico, but if the Trump man is elected it just might be back at Sterling Heights or Warren Mich....

Weight matters, years ago i had a semifrontal accident with my class8 Truck, i didn't even fell the crash in the steering wheel, truck walked straight through the cars front. Definitely no seatbelt was needed on my side.
So it is if you crash a Ram into a Jetta.
