What have you guys done????? I just took out my silencer ring and I love the sound!!!! I swore that I wasn’t going to do anything to this truck. I was going to leave it stock. Now I can’t do without the Edge Comp, 4” exhaust, and intake among other things. How could you do this to me????? How could you make me spend my money like this…. . ?

It feels like I have so much more power (which I know is in my head). Maybe it is because I have never put my foot in it until the silencer ring was taken out. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!



How am I going to tell my wife?



How can I justify all of these things?

These parts were installed to replace worn parts. Do not grin when telling her this. It would be a dead give away.

Tell her nothing

It's not your fault you are the victim here. Remember some people are born with a defective gene that causes them to want ever more Soot in their air. Lie! Tell her you spent the money gambling or on wine or another woman. Well maybe not another woman. Just bluff her out " what money? I haven't spent any money! " Tell her nothing, a woman is dumb about trucks she'll never notice the sound, the soot, the acceleration. Trust me! Take my advice I'm not using it.

It's a safety item. If I can enter traffic (either merging or from a stop sign) more quickly, it it gives a larger safety margin. (especially towing) Oo. :-laf :-laf :-laf

Hell, I wasn't going to even touch mine until a guy I know stopped by and offered me a free trial of an AFE filter and an EZ box. Well, who would pass on a free trial? We set out on the road and I gave it hell from 2nd through 5th. I bought it right there



Don't ever try out performance mods/bombs unless you have the power to resist. I just bought 5" exhaust and gauges the other day... . still trying to find a way to hide that dent in the bank account



Bad thing is it makes this truck, which was already fun to drive, 10x more fun with that screaming turbo and that blast of exhaust you can put through the window of the little ricer who pull next to you

If that doesn't work tell her about the increase in mileage and how that will save the earth's resources and thereby create less green house gas -- you are actually saving the Earth. Making it a healthier place for your kids to grow up!!!



Last but not least don't tell her!! let her drive it for a while. . That will usually do it for sure.



Just do what I have for several Turbo customers have your bombing goodies shipped to you in plain brown wrappers...

I removed my honeycomb "X", and the turbo whine went up a little bit. Nothing to write home about.

Does removing the silencer ring really make that big a difference? Would you guys say it makes more of a difference than taking out the "X" thingy?
