I love my new 2004 Ram TD 3500 Quad Cab. I've driven it only a few miles so far, but it's great.

The manual that comes with the truck is very limited in information. For example, I got the trailer towing package, with the 7-pin plug at the rear, but there is nothing in the manual about how the pins are wired, so I don't know how to wire the line from the plug to my 5th wheel trailer.

My question is, what operation and repair manual should I get? I obviously need more than the "dummy" material that came with the truck.

Thanks for your help. Willie

I have always wondered if they make a jumper plug in from the 7 pin connector existing on the rear bumper to a location in the bed for fifth wheel, or goose neck hook up. Still have your 7 pin on the rear bumper, and one in the bed. I know it just unplugs because I have took it apart one time installing accessory back up lights on the rear bumper. Does any one know of such a plug in.

Just make one yourself, Tony!
Yeah Ryan, I know I could do that for sure. But when you go to Walmart, or some place like Camping World you see all these different configuration's of plugs, an what nots. I was just curious for now, later on hopefully to get a 5th'er instead of my bumper pull I have now. :) Seems like I always like to preplan something weather I already have it or not.

Hey, if I didn't have millions of little projects for the truck, I don't know what I would do with my time! Probably something crazy, like spend more time with the wife!:-laf

My question was answered in the Towing, Hauling,RV Forum. I should of checked there first. Oo.

The one that is on cd-rom is pretty handy to use.

I have the one that is on CD-ROM, but could not find the pin-out for the 7 pin connector. It lists the 4 pin connector, and a 10 pin, but no 7 pin.

It is still a good thing to have though.
