Opinions on Cool Down Timers, Please!!

I am looking at getting a turbo timer and was wondering whats everyone is using? With the summer heat and ac on it takes the truck about 1-3 mins to get down the egts to around 375 degrees. Any help will be help would be greatly appreciated. A nice plug and play would be great thanks, Corey

I've had diesels since '92 and turbo diesels since '95. I've never had any problem with heat. I usually let them cool for 20 seconds and shut it off. I don't believe diesel turbos get hot enough to hurt them. I suppose if you shut it down on a regular basis at 900 degs, there might be some concern. That money could be used for something more useful.

That's the way I feel about timers.
