Too Heavy?

Towing gears on Freeway

Yep, I have them on my 04 2500 SB 4X4 and really like them. I have 1100 lbs tongue weight and about 600lbs in my bed when traveling. They really help keep the weight on the front axle and ride fine. When empty I have about 11/4in space and the ride is stock. I just wish that I had them on my 01 as it steered a little lite in the front.

I had a set on the front of my 99 to help when my Boss V plow was on. I love them. They help both loaded and unloaded. Really took the front end bounce out of the ride.

Unloaded I only had about 1/2" space.

I have them on 94' 2 wheel drive 2500. I have 1. 5in clearance when running mt. Ihave 37' teton 5th wheel with 2400# on 5th wheel. Then have be on my truck during 10 round trip from De to Az. Air bags did not work on my truck the front of the trailer would bounce up and down going over dip in hiway running 70mph. I took air bags off then mounted trimbens using the air bag brackets shim the brackets to get 1. 5in clearance. that spacing work most of the time. There is a few dips in some intersection when it will botton out an be a little rough.

I'd tried changing air pressure 35# to 70# in air bags nothing work, which is why I put tembins on.

I tried them a few years back and didn't like them. Ride was stock, unloaded, with about an inch of clearance. With my 3400 pound slidein camper the ride was so stiff that I was afraid I would damage the camper. They did eliminate most of the sway problem however.
