I have an '03 6-speed with a Powermax CR..... what do you guys think of stacking this with a Bully Dog Downloader?

I think the timing would be crazy, like 20 degree total??



It has already been done and the timing "knock" was herendous I heard



Most people cannot control the powermax alone, the DL'er will only make you run the TST on even lower levels, you know?



I did hear however, that the EZ with tst makes a very drivable combo- not so much for HP, but much smoother power application



PS - might sound like a 12v though!
 
I personally have run the Downloader on insane, PMCR on 2's, and 85hp fueling box stacked. I think it would be a great combo for racing, engine runs just great. Definately wouldn't tow/haul anything with it. I think the insane level is a good grocery go getter, then you can click the others on if ya pull up next to a d-max or somethin'.
 
I installed my Power Pup last week on the performance mode and it felt pretty good,but I wanted more. This is wait i been waiting for. I installed a Edge JUICE(yes,the box we've been waiting for) with the Power Pup and All i can tell you is it will flat get it. Engine ran much smoother after Power Pup was installed,I have been trying to be sensitive so i don't hurt the transmission as i'm still stock. My next step is to stack with Ezee box. Let me tell you It's a different truck,I can't believe the difference!!!I will post more in detail as I'm able. Hang in there,It is worth the wait!

It plugs into each Injector,it has a positive and negative for brain,cable back to monitor for readings/change power setting 1-5 power on the fly.

Were did you get the juice at? I didn't know it was out. I guess the attitude monitor does not come with it. Also how much was it? I have been waiting for a long time for this and so has many others so why isn't everyone else excited? :D
 
A buddy was a beta tester,he was nice enough to let me test it on my truck,of course we did get permission from his contact at edge. I'm sorry i can't go into much detail,i do have the monitor with the juice and it's a sweet set up. I was told they have configured the box to get timing internally via map sensor.

There was a dyno day here in saint louis and the last truck running had edge ez tst and power pup all on their highest settings with stock everything else. with the tst box off he put down 370's and with it on 9,9 it put on 380's for hp. Everybody that had the pup was dissapointed with the dyno #'s

And just two truck before, Lee Thurman (03 Dodge, only TST on7-5) laid down a

395hp pull... .



but I can say that keith (last truck) had a cloud that never cleared up... so the fuel it there, but no cool charge to make the smoke into power :{ (stock charger still) - maybe a B-1 would have pulled that fuel into HP?? (and he has a FASS system, so fuel pressure is not an issue)



I think a bad batch of DL'ers got out, because a few did not even show but a 40hp or so gain on extreme. . thats for sure not right





PS - my SO 5-spd made 196hp on stock setting, how sick is that? but TST on HP-6 made 318 - a 122hp gain, I'm happy enough with that :D :D :D
 
Triple stacked

I just put my stock program back in after having serveral difficulties. I've ran the Edge EZ, TST PMCR (old program) and BD Downloader separately and stacked. My best guess is the heavy smoke of the Extreme program stacked with the TST is because of a timing issue, injecting the fuel outside the piston bowl... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . not a good thing for horsepower or heat. lc

Were those trucks 04 Auto's? Supposedly, the programming doesn't work with the 04 auto's. Bullydog knows about it, and is supposed to be correcting it. Sent mine back in last week to be reprogrammed. Don't know when it's going to be done, though. Soon, I hope. :D When I get it back, I'll post whether it's fixed, or not, using my SOP dyno.

as a matter a fact, they were 04 autos (305's) -- hmm, i told Ken that his DL'er was not right and that bullydog knew about it, so at least it will be fixed. . just a waiting game now
 
Had a chance to experiment,loaded extreme mode on Power Pup and felt like 90-100hp,then programmed juice box to three,more smoke and pulled hard. Jacked juice box to 5 and it was to much timing,engine didn't like it. Went home ,disconnected juice and plugged ezee box in. Went for drive and started slipping converter so i had to back off. It seem to me the performance mode on Power Pup with juice box is a ideal set up to date. This is nice because it's so adjustable.
