Hey 84 Tdr Fans Read This And Not One Answer???????????????????????????doc

Hey doc, we don't go shopping every day ya know. :D Actually, you had 84 TDR fans lookin in on your thread for the same answer as you were looking for. :-laf

I got mine at Costco two years ago @$99. 00 Neighbor scored a better price @Summit. Checking both sites shows that Jegs has it with free shipping. The next criteria is tax implications. Here in Ca we keep getting stung more and more with "deals" Ca is making to recover tax on internet sales

Advance Auto Parts actually had the best prices when I bought mine. Remember, you want to buy them locally or from a franchise like Auto Zone of Advance in case one ever goes bad. They have to be warrantied from the place of purchase - you're not going to have much luck with that if you buy from a mail-order place.

It also depends on which Optima battery. I found that a group 31 battery fit without nary a modification. A little more money. I bought mine at a local discount place "Farm and Fleet" (Chippewa Falls, WI)

Check with you're Interstate Battery dealer. They sell Optimas with the Interstate name on them. I've got Yellow Top 31's ordered. Bought my Red Tops from them 5 years ago. The Espar has about done the Red Tops in.

Just called to see if my Yellow Tops were in. Backorder. Have been since April. I just placed an order through Jegs. Hope they have them. I ordered local to start with even though more expensive because of the warrantee issue. Hope I don't have problems!

My Optima RedTops (size 34/78) came from Costco - less than $100 each before tax: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayimage.php?&photoid=16053&width=2

Please share with me your documentation that shows that "Costco Optimas are not the real deal".

it doesn't show the whole battery info, but your reserve capacity is lower (104 compared to 110).

That's about all I can get out of the picture though ... might not even be enough to notice, but there is a difference :-laf

Here's the Optima spec sheet:

This is the first time to read this post, so my first reply. Got mine from Jeg's for $84 and shipping was free. Three years ago, I did. I just haven't bought any lately, so I didn't waste your time.

There, now I said it.

. . PT. .

I got a red top from Jeg's as well for the same price (CCA = 800 amps). I am hoping that they will have another sale again because I need them for the Ram now. I noticed that my local Costco optimas had a CCA of only 720 amps.

They are scraps of HDPE from a manufacturer of commercial cutting boards that I had. HDPE machines very easily with woodworking tools. I hope the spacers keep me from ever shorting the battery terminals with a wrench.
