I tested my intercooler last night and it turns out it's got some leaks. Some are pin holes in the tubes and the biggest is a leak at the bottom corner where the tubes go into the tank. From doing a few searches it looks like this is pretty common. I guess I could run it as is or try and scab up a repair but I'd rather replace it.

I think I have it narrowed down to 2 coolers. One is the PDR plate and bar cooler, the other is Rips (Source Automotive) Cool Twist Cooler. I don't feel like spending $1500 on a cooler which I've found elimates any others as an option.

Anyone have any comments on one or the other or another option.

Thanks,

Mike

How so?

Haisly $1200

BD $1380

ATS $?? (keeps linking me to the Powerstroke Cooler which is $1047)

OK so I guess I should have said I don't feel like spending $1200 on a cooler. I don't feel like spending $800 on a cooler either but that's how it is. Got any suggestions for me on a cooler that's in the less than a grand price range?

Alehman, where can I find some more information on the Duralite coolers? I did some searching and can't seem to come up with anything.

Jim, it seems everytime I do a search on coolers I'm reading about how happy you are with the PDR cooler :D. I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on one but Mark hasn't returned my call.

A good 24V cooler looks like a decent option as well, but tough to find.

Thanks for the info so far,

Mike

Well I'm on my way to Lynden to pickup my new PDR cooler. Jim they have you to thank, I read your original post on the testing you did with it and it sold me on it. Thanks for helping me spend my $$ :).
