Hey fellas i have the Optix gauges in my truck and my boost is makein a rattlin noise when boost comes in,anyone have this with there boost gauge?

And my egt gauge at night is darker than the other ones, has anyone with the optix gauges had any of these problems?

Mine rattles a little too, may put in the snubber too. My EGT gauge is lit with a single bulb and the other two are lit with two bulbs, so it is not as bright either. I thought about toning the other two down a little with a marker pen so I could adjust them a little more evenly with the dimmer. Other than that, I suppose you could go to either dimmer bulbs in the other two or a brighter bulb in the EGT. I think you can also get the led type bulbs for the gauges, and I also believe they come in different brightnesses or voltages. Saw them somewhere, jsut have to find them again. I think it was a Jeggs or Maybe Summit catalog?

Got my snubber from Omega Engineering. Put it in, behind the gauge on my a-pillar. Had to buy a 45 degree fitting to put behind the snubber and then attach boost line, as the snubber and line together would hit the "cup" that the instrument sits in. No rattle.

Hook up as follows:

Gauge--->Pressure Snubber--->45 Degree Fitting--->Boost Line

Regards.

BTighe mines on the way to and cant believe the shipping on that thing!

What leveling kit did u go with? U have any pics of your truck? We have the same truck and i would like to see a pic of one with a leveling kit on!

Well fellas my pres snubber came yesterday and installed today, had to go get a($2. 19) 45 degree fitting like Diesel Thunder, and the end result wasnt what i was lookin for! The gauge moves nice and smooth as did before but the rattle is still there it is however quieter but i can still hear it at about 20lbs and above! Think im gonna give them a call and see what they have to say and ill post what i find out!

let me know what you find i have the same problem thanks

Same problem here

I ordered the same gauge for Geno's and sent the first one back because it was really bad. This second gauge is better but still rattles although i don't have a "snubber".

I have not given Geno's another call because I thought I'd live with it that way, but if a lot of you are having the same problem I'd like to know what is going on.
