I am confused by different opinions that I have read in this Forum about the Prestone orange 5 year anti-freeze coolent. All of the other automobile mfg's say that a 50/50 mix with this stuff is far better for aluminum than the green stuff. I am looking at a big alum radiator on my 2001. 5 and can'help but think that the orange would be better. Where am I wrong here? What does the experienced guys think? Also the use of the Valvoline syn-blend power stering fluid on my truck is that ok or not? thanks Wild Bill E -- email address removed --

That's what I have had in my truck for 45k and everything is fine so far. The truck has 84k on it at this point. I was confused as well but I am sure it will be fine.
Do a search in the archives on this. I think you can change, but if my memory serves me correctly on this, you had better not mix the two. You would need a good flush to make sure all of the old is out before you put the orange in.
Never mind, I found it for you. I had done some research on this before.
