Just got notified from the dealer that my order was cancelled by DC 3 days ago. Dealer said they can re-submit in 4-6 weeks. I'll be getting either an '04. 5 or an '05, he couldn't tell me which. Said that he'll know on the 10th of Dec which one it will be. He did say that the CTD is still a 5. 9 I6 that's been turned up a little, and definitely not a new V8. Thank God for that. Also had no idea which type of emission equipment will be on the engine, but being as it's a Cummins, I'm not worried about that stuff. That's my dilemma for now.

The type of emmisions equipment that is going to be used in January is still pretty much of a mystery. I have not seen any definete information here or elsewhere. There has been talk about EGR and a catylic converter.

I was told yesterday,by someone I trust, that the hold if off the Cummins starting today and he did not know what the emissions would be but all the trucks being built starting today will be 50 state legal. Take this for what it is worth, which could be nothing.

just hope and pray it's a cat instead of an egr system [i dispise both but the cat is the lesser of the 2 evils] but i can't really see how a cat can reduse nox output:(

I can't believe they canceled and order on a sold truck. Watch your price and let us know when the dealer reorders the truck how much it has gone up.

This same thing happened at the introduction of the PT Cruiser, We ordered one of the first couple the dealer entered into system before it shut back down, then they canceled a bunch of orders, Raised the Price about $2500-$4000 dollars depending on options, and then started taking new orders. We go lucky and were locked in on the first price, then sold car 6 months, and 7k miles later for what we paid for it. Only cost to use car was the insurance. Probably never do that again in my lifetime.
