Order cutoff date - 2002 model?

Does anyone remember or have insider info on when the cutoff date is when they won't accept any more 2002 orders?



Just curious.

I'M just guessing here,BUT, I believe when I bought my truck the dealer told me it was either July/Aug.

Well, I figured, why wait... just order it and that I did a week ago... I got scared that if I ordered it in Feb. that it might be too late. The dealers that I talked to thought (gut feeling) that it would be April or May, but nothing was offical from DC.

I remember it being end of May, beginning of June last year. If I get a new one I want it to be a 2002... ... . not a 2003. I doubt I'll do anything tho, just thinking of possibilities.

When my 2001. 5 was totaled in early May 2001 I was shut out when I tried to order an SLT+ QC 4x4 LB 4x4 on May 11th. Dealer, who has a very strong truck allocation, couldn't get it built. St. Louis was built out and Mexico couldn't build an SLT+.



I was told I would have to wait for production to resume in late July. Couldn't wait that long, had to fly to OK to get a truck.



Don't know what is going to happen to with the new trucks coming out. I would check with the big dealers in ID, OK and TX, they normally get very good info from DC.
