Order screwed up!

I got a call today from my dealer and they said my truck was in. Then he said,"There's one small problem though... . it's the wrong color!" I ordered a silver one and this one is that Light Almond Pearl!!!! I had originally thought about getting that color but after seeing it on a few other big trucks, I changed my mind... Now I have my 1/2 ton sold and trips planned to haul trailers and no truck!!!:{ I'm trying to locate another silver one or a white one but am not having very good luck so far... . Called Tomeygun and he's going to see what he can do in the morning and call me back. I told the dealer here that if I needed to order another truck that he is going to have to put me in a loaner till the other one comes in. Talk about being bummed out!!!!! I'd scream if it would help matters

You were considering that color at one time. Is is so bad that you can't live with it ... for a price?



I'm also curious about the exhaust clamp issue with yours. Is the truck on hold?

They didn't say anything about it being on hold...

About the color... I never really liked it, my fiance' was the one that was drooling over it and I seriously considered it till i saw one and realized that it was NOT what i wanted. I decided to go with what I want since I'm the one paying for it and driving it every day. I just think that the tan makes the whole truck look just a little to gloomy and dull, know what I mean? I'm concerned that if it looks like that to me now, it will look even gloomier when the payments roll around...

And take the money you save to buy some graphics or custum paint that makes that color look good to you.

It IS the new 600. That's the bad thing about it. My Dad drove one in Bowling Green, KY last saturday. He said the thing has got HUGE power!!! Guess I'll have to drive the nasty brown ine and see how much it really has... ... .

If I ordered Silver and got Almond I'd never be happy with it. Make them order the color you want 'cause waiting 6-8 weeks is nothing compared to the years you'll be living with a color you didn't want. And you can use the screwup as leverage to get an even better deal, and an opportunity to change any other little details you may have changed you mind about since you ordered the first one.



Your case isn't as bad as Evan Beck went through in 2000. He ordered a truck, found out it wasn't right before it arrived so he ordered again. The day after it arrived the Lot Monkey had a wreck with it so they ordered a 3rd one! It was like 3 months from the time of the original order 'til he was driving a truck and they were built in record time.



The first truck he ordered I ended up buying and drove 87,000 miles and then traded on this one.

What's wrong with almond? There are so many silver ones around, something a little different is nice too. The almond ones I have seen look real sharp.
