Follow up. Truck came in and was butt ugly. The walnut brown with 2 tone silver is actually lite gray brown with gold on the bottom. I said no thanks. Manager said no problem he will sell to someone else. I ordered another one in black, same everything plus trailer tire TPMS. It was so ugly I didn't even take a pic to post.

I dont think I've seen that color combo... I have seen the walnut brown and liked it, but have not seen it in a two tone. but I dont think I'd care for brown and silver, even if the color wasn't screwed. I've seen the black main color with walnut brown lower that looked pretty cool not long ago.

Good luck getting the new truck.

Cheers, Ron

Friends,

I've had an itch for a couple of years to do the 4th Gen two-tone treatment on my Ram 5500, with what FCA called rv match walnut brown metallic on the lower part. I've painted vehicles in my past and have done pretty good. I can actually rig up a paint booth in my shop, complete with filtered airflow. I may have to scratch it one day... gotta get my project load whittled down first. If I did, I would need to sand and paint a basecoat white on the lower part of my black hauler bed the same as the lower part of the cab of the truck as metallic needs to have the same color basecoat or it will be very noticeable. Ideally, a silver or gold basecoat would work best under a metallic paint. I built models a lot as a kid and learned all the cool painting stuff from that.

Anyhoo, sorry for getting off track as the discussion about two-tone Rams drummed up this thought.

Cheers, Ron

"Not a fan of any 2 tone combination."

I have had mine called the "Golden Arches".

I’ve always been a fan of 2-tone. Dad had a 92 Chevy that was tan over black over tan, which was not a standard color but you could get non-standard things back then, and it was gorgeous.

White over silver is my favorite Ram combo and I was very happy to find my ‘18 used in that color with all the options I wanted.

Only two tone I ever liked was the 1979 Ford extended cab my dad ordered (Brown and Creme) looked sharp in the day. Splurged and got 2 tanks and 8 track..$12,500 special order.

The Ram Pearl White/RV Match Brown looks great, and I would have gotten it if they didn't force you into painted bumpers, at least on a Longhorn. I will say for an upcharge color Ram's Pearl White is seriously lacking in the flake department. Unless you put your nose in it it just looks like solid paint. I'm a bit disappointed with that aspect.
