Hello...

I just ordered an 05 and I am excited to get it!

It is a 2500 Reg Cab Laramie 4x4 w/ 48RE and almost every option.

I was wondering what the availability of rear wheel well liners is on the 3rd gen trucks. I bought the liners at the parts counter for my 02 and I wouldn't consider being without them. Will they come stock on the 05 or is there an accessory part available?

Also, how long did it take to get your truck for those that have ordered recently?

Finally, what are the recommendations for mudflaps? I have the molded Mopar flaps currently on the 02 and am pretty happy with them. They seem to scuff the paint a bit, but i don't plan on ever taking them off so that doesn't matter too much.

Any advice or part numbers would be great

Thanks

If your worried about the paint I would put some of that clear plastic they sell between the molded mudflaps. The stuff is ment to prevent rock chips. I would put it below the threshold of the door to protect the paint there also. I keep kicking mine there when I get in. Some cars come with this stuff on the rocker panels from the factory. You can get this stuff professionally installed.

The clear plastic sounds like a good idea. I'll try to pick some up before it gets here. I forgot about the door sills also. I had put a door sill guard by auto ventshade products in my 02. I may need to see if these are available for the 05.

Thanks guys

I ordered my liners and mud flaps from the dealer's parts dept a few weeks before my truck arrived. My sales mgr got them for me at his cost. They were waiting for me when I picked up the truck. They offered to install them but I wanted to do it myself.

I have never seen the aftermarket door sill guards, but there sure is alot of exposed paint to kick with the door open just below the factory plastic sill. My wife says this is the only truck I get, so I want to make it last!

looks like the part number for a regular cab 3rd gen truck is 88821 from autoventshade products

here is a pic from their website for an example:

They installed in less than 5 minutes on my 02 and I would recommend them
