My wife want's to have me committed to the nut house and I don't blame her. I ordered a '04 Ram 2500 today, that makes three third gen trucks in one year. I should have kept my first Q/C, but after getting a regular cab for a business venture that ended up going bad I have a regular cab I don't want or need now that I have a baby on the way so it's time to get another Q/C.

Heres the spec's

2004 2500 Q/C 4X4 Flame Red/Silver

HO Cummins

48re

anti spin axle

rear window defroster

block heater (should be standard)

fog lamps

light group

trailer tow mirrors

protection group

security group

hood shield

leather steering wheel

fold flat floor

trailer tow

OWl off road tires

premium cloth seats

two tone paint

I paid invoice for the truck so I'm happy about that. Now I have to wait 6-8 weeks.

Oh well, at least I am doing my part to keep the economy chugging along :D :D .

Don't feel bad. I'm starting to get a wild hair up my arse:eek: again and I just might order me one:--) Wife has decided she wants to get a 5th wheel and do a little traveling. She told me I should of got a AT on this one:--) so thats all I needed to get me thinking. She said she would buy a 5th so I is pondering;) And I only got 24000+ on this one. She should of:-{} this sooner.

Ischultz,

Join the club, I need some company.

I seriously pondered waiting a year or two before stepping back up to the Q/C but with the EGR on the way I told the wife we needed an "early" 2004 to avoid the emissions garbage. She was like "the neighbors are going to think we're nuts" but In the end I won :D .

I'm in the same boat myself. Last October, I bought a used 2001 2500 QC LWB CTD 4x4 w/ 24K on the odometer, sold it this past May to buy a 2003 3500 QC SRW SWB HO CTD/6-speed Laramie, only to order a 04 3500 QC SRW SWB HO CTD/48RE 3 months later. Love the current truck, but not as crazy about the manual as I though I would be. I hated having to order another truck, take the "hit" on the 2003 and put some other cash down on the 2004, but what can you do? This will definitely be it for a LONG time, especially after I close on my first house at the end of this month. Anyway, good luck with the new truck Rosco!

Ryan

Ordered my 04 a week ago- SRW 3500, HO 6 sp Laramie/limo lots of fru-fru stuff like butt warmers- and all the heavy duty stuff available. Got the "affiliate reward" which does better than invoice. Not that it mattered much the dealer was going to do pretty well by me anyway even without it. Set up to tow a gooseneck dump that will hold my compact tractor.

Ryan,

Your definetly in my leaque as far as truck buying goes. I bought my first '03 last September, then I ordered another '03 and took delivery in February, and now the '04 is ordered. Also at least your new '04 will look identical as the '03 so most people won't know the difference. Me, I get a different color every time so theres no hiding it.

Pete,

Looks like your getting a stripped down work truck.

She thinks she wears the pants

Well I will probably be sent back to Brown School(rehab place I was in after my wreck in 98 for head injuries:confused: )when ever I tell my wife I ordered a 04 this morning. 04 3500 QC Laramie AT 3. 73 Anti Spin axle LWB,trailer tow with the mirrors, protection group, singe rear wheel, white color. :D

I will put a sign on my 03 and try and sell it.

Ischultz,

Let the waiting begin. I read a post a few days back that said the factory had all the orders it could take for the month of September so truck like ours won't see the assembly line until October. I don't know if thats true or not, if it is then we won't be seeing our rigs until November.

Sounds like you guys are having fun. Been there done that :D I look at it this way, as long as you can afford it and not putting your family in jeopardy go for it.
