Anyone running Parnelli Jones 33" or 35" load range E tires?

Those darn rails in the front seats of the 03-04 trucks!

I finally broke down and ordered the truck yesterday. Other than patiently waiting, what else can I expect? Any idea on the waiting period now? Thanks in advance!

depends what you got the 6speed is on somewhat of a back order when i ordered they said. I got the auto though. ordered jan 2 picked up feb 20.

Ordered 2-16, D (firm build - dealer has allocation and parts avail. ) status 3-8 (3 weeks). I am figuring/hoping I'm about 4-5 weeks away from delivery, that would still put me at 7-8 weeks from order to delivery.

Congratulations on your new truck!!!

No more build restrictions as per Tomeygun, but there are a lot of six speed guys that were on backorder ahead of you.

You need to do a search for the web site to follow the progress of your truck, now you dont have to call the 800 number. I saw the post yesterday. Wish I would have know about it sooner. You use the truck vin or von(not sure about von) and the dealership code from the order sheet and thats all you need.

Ordered 12/20/03, built 1/15, shipped 2/20 and DC has no clue where it is? The train took it to a port in Mexico and was loaded on a boat going to Tampa. It is probably sitting in Tampa waiting to clear inspection or has not been scanned yet. From there it will come by truck to Naples. Looks like at least three months start to finish. Ordered Dodge Ram 3500 QC 4X4 Laramie, automatic.

Have you looked here?

You need your dealer's five digit code and the last eight of your VIN or your VON.

Who told you you DC had no idea where your truck is?

The idiots on the 800 number. They said that all there records show was that it went by rail on 2/20 and they had no further update. I did find that link you posted and punched in my last 8 digits of my VIN and the dealers code on their print out they gave me when I first ordered my truck. The vehicle was loaded on the ship today was to be in Tampa this evening. It shows expected delivery of 3/18 now. That 800 number sux and I will never call them again. The link gives you everything you need!

I find that very interesting! The Insight data base that I posted the link to was originally set up for the Customer Service people and dealers, not for us anxious customers. The link was given to me by a bud at DC who stumbled across it. Don't know if I was supposed to publish it or not. If it stops working one day, we'll know we got caught and the link changed. In the meantime, enjoy!

Maybe if the people would just tell us outright where the truck is, then I would not be so anxious. I am trying to line up my aftermarket parts delivery and install with the arrival date since a great deal of things need to be done. We also need to coordinate installers schedules around this time period as well. DC just does not want to admit that the vehicle has been sitting in Vera Cruz since 2/20 and its now 3/10. According to the link, it was supposed to ship yesterday. It now shows that it will ship today and again today DC said we just show it went by rail on 2/20. I just feel better knowing that it's not much longer before I should see it. The link is awesome though!

Ordered 12/12/03 and was told today it's in status code"I", waiting for rail car. Don't bother with the Chrsler 800 number, I called yesterday and was told it was not built yet.

From what several posters are saying, don't bother with the 800 number. Just use the Insight data base. It's got the latest info known to anyone. The only time Insight can't track the vehicle's location is after it's turned over to the transport company for delivery to the dealer.

BTW, it's kind of fun to use it and instead of entering the VIN or VON, put in the dealer code again. You see everything the dealer has ordered and when it's supposed to be delivered.
