After months of research and savings I placed an order for some parts this morning!

I ordered a Garrett Powermax Stage 2 Turbo. Its a GT37R dual ball bearing, water cooled turbo that measures out to be a 62/64 with a . 89 internally gated housing.

I also ordered a set of ARP 2000 standard head studs.

I have a set of DDP 50's being held for me at the shop where I placed the orders as well.

I also have at home wating to go on is a used ATS 2-piece exhaust manifold and a Turbo Performance exhaust manifold blanket.

Once I get the turbo I will be taking measurements and sending those to Levi at Turbo Performance for a turbo blanket as well.

I also have a MH front cover to install, thanks to TDR, at the same time I do the rest of the wrenching.

Can't wait for towing/camping season!

Wow! Sounds great... I'm interested in hearing how that GT37 spools for you and what kind of fuel economy benefit it gives!

Will your jacobs bolt up to the new turbo?

--Eric

The jacobs will attach to the Stage 2 just like the OEM turbo!

My guess is that with stock sticks it will spool like it does right now or a hair faster with the cam, and with the sticks it will spool faster.

Here they are!

I am hoping to get most of these installed next weekend. The hitch is missing the hardware, but that should ship ASAP.

ATS 2-piece manifold. Just looking at this one I can tell the flow will be much better, as will the sounds. Looks to be 95% of the benefits of a 2nd gen manifold, with none of the custom work!

With the Turbo Performance blanket.

The Turbo! Garrett Powermax Stage 2, GT3782R. It's a 62/64 with a . 89 a/r divided housing.

And the hitch. This thing is beefy!

I can see that Reese haven't improved their fit and finish much. Most NON-OEM exhaust will hit the lower flange. That hitch will be brown in 1 MN winter. I would spent some time re-finishing before installation.

I plan to touch it up a little before/after install. Most the paint issues are from shipping, as it was shipped as you see it.

Be very careful when you install the DDP 50's. If you have been reading my frustrated threads about the power/rattling/code issues i've had, it all stemmed from placing those nozzles on my injectors. DDP only sells new version nozzles, if you have the old version bodies, they MAY or MAY NOT get along together, you take your chances. Mine worked excellent for the first 300 miles. I ended up having to replace all 6 with NEW Bosch/II Dragon fly 60hp; problem solved. Not trying to flame anyone but just want you to be aware so you dont experience the same. I would suggest you identify your version of injector bodies and match it with like nozzles.

After my fiasco, I have become an expert at R&R of injectors... got it down to shop time!

But jealous of your spring Christmas! I like your toys!

The nozzles are the older style, which matches my injectors. . Hopefully I don't have any issues.

It will be a while before I get them installed, I am going to just do the studs/turbo/manifold for now.
