Ordering a new 06 Mega - how long?

I know from reading the posts that I need to be realllllll patient ordering a new truck. However, it's been 5 weeks since I ordered a 2006 2500 Mega Cummins 6 speed, and no VIN yet. I think that means the factory does not even know about the order yet. Seems a little funky to me. I am not in that big of a hurry, but I do not want a 2007 truck.

I ordered a 06 3500 about 4 wks ago, dealer said he should have a VIN # on it

Wend 4-11-06. I hope he is right he said he was starting to get a little nerves

as well.
