I've been checking back threads and noticed there are Codes for options to include, when ordering your Dodge 3500 SRW.
These codes have numbers and letters.
I did not see a coded number for the Camper package. Is there such a code number
when you order a Dodge 3500 to include for options for your truck?
Is there a list i can find on line, somewhere? I went to Ram Trucks.com but didn't see any codes listed.
Thank you, for your responses.

As far as I know, RAM hasn't offered a camper package on the 4th Gen.

I think that when they did offer it in the past, it was a rear sway bar and different springs. You can add things like that yourself.

I never saw such an option when searching out info before buying my 2013. Given the suspension and other capabilties of the new 3500s, I don't see any need for a further beef-up to hold a camper. My 6' bed SRW 3500 came with a camper sheet rating it for 2800 lb.

Thank you for the reply Dieselnerd.
I'm planning to add Hellwing sway bars and Bilsten shocks after i get my truck, anyway no big deal. I will ask the dealer when i order to add a forward bed power connection to plug in my camper.
That way i can free up the hitch connection for towing a small trailer if, i decide to.

Thank you Joe,
I plan to get the 8' bed in my Dodge 3500 so it should be more. Should be able to load a Wolf Creek 850 non-slide camper, and add Hellwing sway bars and Bilsten shocks after i get my truck. I'll be sure when i order at the dealer to ensure my truck is rated for a camper.

I ordered my C&C with front super heavy duty springs, you might want to ask the fleet sales if option still exsists. I'm on a business trip in Vegas, when I get home I'll look up the code numbers/letters for you.

Appreciate the information RVTRKN.

Thank you for the information. I'll make sure I order the Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck prep.

This plug is in the rear of the bed, no help for a TC. Buying an aftermarket in-line plug to install in the front of the bed for a TC is easy.
I chose to adapt my TC wire to use the available rear bumper jack as I don't ever tow.

Also, if you order the 3500 with the Snow Plow prep option, you do not get the camper certification sheet as it becomes "Not recommended for a TC".

Thank you for the clarification. I'll be sure not to order the snow prep, and get a in-line plug for the front of the bed.

In case i do not get the chance later. I want to wish everyone on TDR a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy new Year.

I'd get the HD Snow plow prep just for the skid plate and 220 amp alternator, and if I remember from my numerous visits to Oahu over the years it was always snowing :-laf. Merry Christmas!

I would order both of these packages as you are looking at a slide in camper now, but, the truck can handle a lot more camper. you might want those option just in case you move up to a larger camper. My $0.02. Kenny Irwin
