ordering deadline?

Does anyone know of the ordering deadline for the 2002 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Is it in jun/jul? I have still not given up yet to get my truck.

My dealer here still has about a dozen ETH/DEE 2002 combos sitting on the lot if anyone is interested ?... ... ... ... Kevin

My dealer asks rep about once a week for me, and he keeps sayin mid April. If it is later than that, they will kick it into an '03 order. I wish it was a later deadline but doesnt sound like it will be.

I just ordered a 2002 and have been asking dealers this same question. Like Cummins Turbo 425 said, around mid April is about the latest for guranteed delivery. After mid-april it's a gamble if the factory will fill orders for 2002 trucks. Robert Melton of Melton Sales e-mailed me thier zone manager is claiming the factory has more orders in the system for that region than they can fill and that is why they (Melton Sales) is no longer taking orders for 2002 trucks. I don't know how much truth there is to Melton's claim, cause I asked other Oklahoma dealers close to them and they all claimed they had not heard of the factory not being able to fill orders for that zone and it is a ploy to get folks to by what he (Robert Melton) has in inventory on the lot. In fact almost all dealers I asked about this claim said "Let me guess, Melton Sales wanted you to buy something out of thier inventory. It's just a way to get you to purchase something they have sitting on the lot so they can clear out inventory and start making room for 2003 trucks"
