I'm trying to plan a trip out to the Oregon Coast in June. Any events or group camps or get-togethers going on? I'd love to meet up with you if I can...

Weve been over there quite a bit since we bought our TT. Lincoln City has a couple of good RV spots plus your close to the beach and casino. Waldport has a nice KOA and its within easy driving of hikes, beach etc. I havent been to the KOA in Astoria but Ive heard it has over 200 sites plus they serve breakfast for a minimal charge. Your also close to Fort Stevens and Fort Clatsop. I try to avoid the public parks mainly because of noise and crowds. If its a weekend that my wife has off Id be more than happy to meet up with you. Email when this will be.

Hey, count me (us) in! Went to Fort Stevens three weeks ago and Cannon Beach RV park two weeks ago for the kite feastival. Both Parks are superb.
A couple of big events Cummin up are the Sand Castle building comp in Cannon Beach and Dory Days in Pacific City. Unfortunately, most sites are already booked but any weekend at the coast is a good one. Also, don't forget Long Beach, maybe we can get some of our NW Rammers to make it as well.
Ron.

ARRGGHHH!!! It looks like it might be late June or early July now. The wife just found out her employer screwed up her schedule big time and she's not getting any time off for 4-8 weeks now. Well, that'll give me time to redo all the plumbing, anyway... #ad

We like to stay at state parks because we are... . well, a noisy crowd. I have 5 kids, ya know, so we need to fit in with the rowdy folks #ad

It has been MANY YEARS since I was anywhere up on the northernmost end of the oregon coast. I was just getting my first bicycle at the time, if memory serves. Where's good a place to go? The kids are gonna want a bunch of sand to play in, I want to avoid having campers 4 feet from my door.

Power Wagon,
My wife and I are heading for the coast at Bandon, Oregon, on Memorial Day and will be spending the week in Sunset Bay State Park. I've never been there, but I've heard some good things about it. Here's their website if you are interested: http://bandon.com
