The Big 50 B-Day

We are heading out this Friday morning for 10 days up to Oregon. We will leave LasVegas and head North on 95 up towards Reno and across in to Cal to Susanville and on up to Oregon. I have never traveled these road does anyone know of any problems that might be encountered thru Cal and So. Oregon? Thanks in advance.

No problems but don't miss the spot about 50-75 miles south of Crater Lake where the entire flow of the Rouge River goes though a lava tube, quite impressive, there's signs. Have a fine trip.

Oregon travel

I believe it was California 139 between Susanville and Canby that ended up twisted and hilly. Pretty drive but with a trailer it was interesting.

Please leave any hot weather in Las Vegas;)

I think Bill mentioned what is know as the Rogue Gorge/Natural Bridge where the whole river disappears underground. While your at it - Watson Falls (272' drop) is neat as well.

Here is a Map.

You should have no problems; I have dragged my 30' fiver through there numerous times. I love that drive from Reno to I-5.

Illflem is right, the lava tube on the Rogue River is worth the stop.

Crater Lake Park is worth the stop also.
