Parentless.....

Let me take another run at this; they ask for your last three digits or numbers and you pay with cash, they have no idea who you are! The only information collected then is a three digit number, items purchased, how was the item paid for, was the purchaser an O'Rewards member (If yes to O'Rewards, then your purchase is tracked by your telephone number or O'Rewards number, if no you could be anybody!). If the three digits bother you, you're gonna really love returning a purchase!!! The only way to complete a return is to provide your telephone number, full name, and address. That is tracked! Please know Tractorat, I am not being sarcastic to you! And I do thank you for your service! Thank you for being there ahead of service members like me! Your service led the way.

Once again, it is the principle of the thing. As far as a return, I have a receipt. It just occured to me that I can tell them my last 3 are 123. It is an intrusive practice.

LOL! You are right Tractorat. Unless they insist on seeing the card of course. And I completely understand where you are coming from! Unfortunately, if we wish to partake in the discount, we have to meet the company offering the discount's requirements. That was not meant to be "preachy", it's how we counter personnel are trained. Regulation "O'Reilly's dash Dave: Preservation of Pay" dictates that I ask, so I do.

Oh, I understand completely. It is company policy. And if they worked for me and didnt follow policy I would fire them. But it is a shady way of doing business.
