Original Powermax Problem

I've got the original Pmax and i've been having a recurring problem of the check engine light coming on and severe missing. So much that 4th gear in low rpms is a no-no. Last week I soldered every connection and about a week later it occurs again. Do you think I have a bad unit?

I had symptoms like that and I was worried it was my PowerMax1 causing the problem. It turned out to be a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor.
